A collection of atmospheric contemporary landscape paintings inspired by the dramatic coastal views.

Since my very first visit to Ireland I was highly impressed by its beauty. Now, after fourteen years of living in Co. Kerry, the coastal views have become the main source of inspiration. My main means of expression are light and mood. As my work evolves, the detail is gradually reduced, giving the viewer more freedom to interpret the scene. I aspire to give my paintings a dreamy quality, creating a sense of place; its impression rather than its portrait. I'm especially fascinated with clouds, night skies and subtle light effects and these elements are used to capture the atmosphere of the scene. Through the mood I share my perception and my personal connection to Ireland.

Portraits, commissions and figure studies.

Through portraits, I fulfill my fundamental desire to seek beauty, humanity and depth. There is something magical about capturing the person's character on canvas or paper and of all the possible subjects, studying human condition is the most interesting one to me. Regardless of the subject matter, my focus is always on capturing its 'essence', mood & character, and most of all, on creating an intimate connection with the viewer.

Still life studies.

My still life studies are a celebration of ordinary objects and allowed me to build up a wide range of artistic abilities over the years. The process of studying everyday objects, even the ones that seem simple and mundane, is a very meditative act. It is also my way of expressing appreciation for the cultural heritage and classical techniques of the old masters.
